Terms & Conditions

The following are the terms and conditions governing advertisements published in Beautiful People Magazine. Submission of insertion orders for placement of advertisements in the Magazine constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. No terms or conditions other than this Rate Card will be binding for BPMag or its affiliates, unless BPMag explicitly agrees to such terms and conditions in writing.

1. Agency Commission: Sixteen percent (15%) of gross advertising space charges, payable only to recognized agents.

2. Right to Decline: Beautiful People Magazine reserves the right to decline or cancel any advertisement at any time, even if previously accepted.

3. Advertiser Responsibility: Advertisers assume all responsibility and liability for the content of all advertisements printed and claims against Beautiful People Magazine.

4. Publisher Responsibility: The publisher is not responsible for printing key errors.

5. Circumstantial Liability: Beautiful People Magazine is not liable for failure to publish or circulate any issue in the event of circumstances beyond BPMag’s control.

6. Rate and Schedule Changes: Beautiful People Magazine reserves the right to change rates, schedules, and production data stipulated on this rate card.

7. Position Requests: All advertising contract position clauses are considered requests.

8. Tax Responsibility: Advertisers shall pay all international, federal, state, and local taxes on the printing of advertising materials and on the sale of ad space.

9. Order Cancellations and Changes: Advertisers may not cancel orders for, or make changes in, advertising after the issue closing date. Cancellation of orders or changes in advertising to be placed on covers, in positions opposite content pages, and for card inserts will not be accepted after the date thirty (30) days prior to the issue closing date. Cancellation of orders for special advertising units printed in the Magazine, such as gatefolds and booklets, will not be accepted after the date thirty (30) days prior to the issue closing date.

10. Acceptance of Late Cancellations: In the event Beautiful People Magazine accepts cancellation after any of the foregoing deadlines, such acceptance must be in writing, and such cancellation may be subject to additional charges at Beautiful People Magazine’s discretion.

11. Booking and Payment: Advertisers are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment must be received within 12 days of booking to guarantee your space. Adverts will not be placed on the site until payment has been received.

12. Payment Method: Payment must be made by US Dollar check (drawn on a US Bank) payable to Beautiful People Magazine Inc.

13. Banner Approval: Banners must be approved for usage by BPMag Webmaster and meet our Terms of Use policy.

14. Invoice Payment: The Advertiser agrees to pay the Publisher the amount stated in the invoices rendered by BPMag. No infringement – The advertiser represents and warrants that the AD is completely original and does not infringe on intellectual property rights or a third-party right.

15. Alteration Charges: Gross rate will apply to ads that need alterations or reformatting for an acceptable format. Premium Positions: Ads.

16. Discount Terms: Net due within 30 days of billing to receive the discount.

17. Prepayment for New Advertisers: New advertisers will be required to prepay for their first two ads upfront. Ad creation services are available.

Cancellations:

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Beautiful People Magazine.
  • BPMag reserves the right to remove any link or advertising banner if the content of a website or webpage is altered in such a way that Beautiful People Magazine considers it has become inappropriate or if the website or webpage has added links to other web pages or websites BPMag considers inappropriate.
  • Beautiful People Magazine considers material inappropriate that is defamatory, offensive, or of an obscene or menacing nature, or which may, in our judgment, cause annoyance, inconvenience, anxiety, or distress to any person.
  • Our decision to publish or remove any link or advertising banner is final.

Artwork:

The Advertiser is responsible for supplying the artwork for the banner ad to BPMag. The banner shall be of a size up to 468 x 83, in a commonly accepted format (gif, jpg, or swf), and in a file size under 25k.

Listing Contents:

The advertiser is responsible for supplying BPMag with the proper company name, party affiliation (if any), mailing address, phone, fax, principals, email address, and a text hyperlink.

Updates:

BPMag will update available information, at the advertiser’s request, during the period in which it is posted online.

Organization of Contents:

The advertisers will be listed in each category in alphabetical order.

Rates:

All rates are subject to change without prior notice. To receive the discounted rates, the purchase of all said runs must be made and paid for in full at the same time.
