Kesha has been off the limelight for a while now. However, she recently made try for a comeback to the music industry. She made the return to the music scene through an emotional narrative entitled “Praying.” Well, it is quite a joy to her loyal fans to see the singer’s return, quite a number had been questioning where she has been for close to four years. Kesha first came to limelight in 2010 through a hit single (her first), “Tik Tok.” She immediately rose to fame.
Also known as Hollywood’s be glittered, Kesha was quite an outspoken girl known for partying hard. Her songs soon became the anthems for the generation’s parties. Before plunging into the miasma of despair she is right now, she released her last album known as “Warrior.” Well, the answer to her miseries lies in a lawsuit that she had earlier on filed against songwriter and record producer Dr. Luke back in 2014.
Let us try to understand what happened between her and Dr. Luke. Early 2014, Kesha checked herself into a rehab center after an eating complication that resulted from a toxic environment due to her professional life. Back then, in an interview with Elle UK, she opened up and said, “I felt like part of my job was to be as skinny as possible, and to make that happen, I had been abusing my body,”. She also opened up to her fans blaming Dr. Luke for being a source of the body image abuse, Luke has supposedly said she looked a “refrigerator.”
The mayhem did not end here for her, she later file suits against Dr. Luke accusing him of verbal, sexual, emotional and physical abuse. In return, Dr. Luke countered her suits with lawsuits of defamation and breach of contract. According to Kesha, since signing with Dr. Luke, he has drugged her, abused her verbally and has even physically abused him prompting her in one of the occasions to run barefoot and seek solace in the mountains down the Pacific Coast Highway.
Kesha’s own mother has been heard accusing Dr. Luke as being the reason for her PTSD and eating condition. The lawsuits have tied down Kesha preventing her from writing, performing any music. Early this year, in quite an interview of Viceland’s music show NOISEY, Kesha talked about the great toll the lawsuits with Dr. Luke has had on her while choking with emotion. “When you work really hard at something, then to have it taken away from you is pretty devastating, I worked my ass off for a lot of years to be able to do it: I sang backup vocals in the first couple songs I was on; I didn’t give a fuck because I just had this one vision. Once you earn that and make that happen, then to have it taken away from you is pretty devastating. It is definitely a mind fuck.”
Well, although Kesha has successfully portrayed herself as a victim of abuse and cruelty it is also a fact that she is just a victim of the choices she made in the past. Every single one of the choices that we make has consequences. From the onset of her music career, she has aligned herself with the secular world. Her music has been a vessel through many young people lost their way and turned to gross immorality and evil. Through the strong themes promoting sexual perversion, satanic cults and lusts of the flesh, she has successfully led many astray.
Take for example the song “Die Young.” The video is filled with blatant Illuminati imagery including the all-seeing one eye, the upside-down cross, and quite a number of triangles popping up amidst the fun. Some scenes also show some sort of illegal sex orgy going on. In a behind-the-scenes look at the video, Kesha blatantly reveals that she wanted the cult themes to come across quite clearly. In fact, her exact words were, “I wanted to come across a cult, because I always say that me and my fans, and me and my family, and me and my friends, are in a cult, Rabid, wild misfits, and I really wanted that to come across in this video.”
In another scene, Kesha’s cult is seen carrying her out of a hearse with the word “EVIL” inscribed on it. On this, she bravely said, “We just shot the scene where I get out of my evil hearse and my cult followers bring their new warrior goddess leader to their new place of worship. We’re turning the church into our new lair!” This song “Die young” is just but an example of the way she has been mocking God. For instance, she portrays herself a goddess of her cult in the song “Die young”.
She had clearly set her priorities on obtaining glorification from objects and people of this world. The Bible says that those who exalt themselves will be humbled. So, if one agrees to work against God and join forces with the rest of the secular world to advance evil themes you will also reap evil. Truly, one can only reap what they have sown, as the good book rightly puts it.
But who are we to judge, we are just but mere mortals.
If she would have turned from the pride and evil of secular world would things have ended differently for her?
What should we expect from her now that she is trying to reinvent herself in the music industry?
