Too often we see acronyms, but do not stop to find out the real meaning behind them, this world is being governed by people who are continuing to build ways to keep our minds busy with anything but the real issues that are affecting our present and future.

One of these famous acronyms is AI; AI stands for Artificial intelligence; In other words, intelligence exhibited by machines. They are human look alike machines that are being created to mimic humans.

While AI is not a house brand name, it was always there, the history of AI did not start in this century, nor in the 2 centuries before; of course a lot of us will come to the conclusion that the 19th to the 21st century are the best that would most likely witnessed the birth of Artificial Intelligence, Since those Century saw the birth of the Computer, the Internet, Visual Communications, Telecommunication system at his best.

I was shocked to find out that the history of artificial intelligence (AI) began in antiquity, with myths, stories and rumors of artificial beings endowed with intelligence or consciousness by master craftsmen; as Pamela McCorduck writes, “AI began with an ancient wish to forge the gods.”

Men are always in a constant search: the search of knowledge, the search of the source of life, the search of inner self, the search of infinite wisdom, the search of the gods, but most of all the search for ways to find the god in them. Their knowledge is pushing them to believe that they are their own god therefore whatever God in His infinite Wisdom created in the beginning of this world can be replicate by them.

The story of men trying to be their own god began right after the first creatures were placed by God in the Garden of Eden. There they had everything but still wanted to have more knowledge, but mostly have the same knowledge as their creator. By their greed over knowledge they caused sins to enter the world, with sins came more greed and the pursuit of knowledge kept escalating to the point where Noah’s generation, those that was born after the deluge, were convinced that they could reach Heaven by building the tallest tower called Tower of Babel in the city of Babel. The city received the name “Babel” from the Hebrew word Balal, meaning to jumble: To mix in a confused way; throw together carelessly. Here is a shorter version of the story of the city of Babel recorded in Genesis 11:1–9 as it appears in the King James Version of the Bible: “Everyone on earth spoke the same language. As people migrated east, they settled in the land of Shinar. People there sought to make bricks and build a city and a tower with its top in the sky, to make a name for themselves, so that they not be scattered over the world. God came down to look at the city and tower, and remarked that as one people with one language, nothing that they sought would be out of their reach. God went down and confounded their speech, so that they could not understand each other, and scattered them over the face of the earth, and they stopped building the city. Thus the city was called Babel.”

These true stories are proof that men cannot help but be in constant competition with their maker. As I mentioned before AI (Artificial Intelligence) begun in antiquity, but the modernization of AI came a little bit later, The seeds of modern AI were planted by classical philosophers who attempted to describe the process of human thinking as the mechanical manipulation of symbols. This work culminated in the invention of the programmable digital computer in the 1940s, a machine based on the abstract essence of mathematical reasoning. This device and the ideas behind it inspired a handful of scientists to begin seriously discussing the possibility of building an electronic brain. In computer science, an ideal “intelligent” machine is a flexible rational agent that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of success at some goal.

The term AI (artificial intelligence) is applied when a machine mimics “cognitive” functions that humans associate with other human minds, such as “learning” and “problem solving. This is a very wicked manipulation of God’s creation in laboratories and surgical rooms all around the globe; scientists are trying to change DNA, SEX, and now going further as creating look alike human machines that can speak, think and the scariest part they are able to act like us. They are being controlled by men and therefore will do whatever they are being dictated, since they are not the creation of God they do not have the Soul that enables us to feel, love and have the reasoning that presses us to stop and think before we act.

These man-made machines were created for many reasons. Some of them are beyond our knowledge, here are some of the reasons:
They can be used to work longer hours that is not humanely possible. This sounds like a well-rehearsed reason.
They can be used for military combat. Which is a well acceptable reason, but the questions remain would their know how to differed the enemies from us, if we are not wearing the proper uniforms or if the enemies army decided to use some kind of trick to waver them from their trained and programmed acts.
They can also be a comfort to parents in quest of a child, with the assurance that this child was programmed to eternally love and respect the parents. Also new articles had showed that the developing of robotic babies in Japan is being motivated by the declined population, as a means of encouraging couples to become “parents”. Those robotic babies are said to be equipped with human intuition therefore will respond to our touch and will understand and act accordingly to human’s feelings and actions.

AI’s supporters are many:
Here is a quote from DARPA Director Arati Prabhakar “When faced with new tactical issues, the United States comes up with plans to stay ahead of its adversaries. The military’s first offset strategy was the buildup of nuclear arms. The second, the creation of smarter missiles and more reliance on reconnaissance and espionage. It’s a long-term plan that focuses on cyberwarfare, autonomy and how humans and machines will work together on the battlefield. We’ve entered into an AI arms race.”

That sounds like AI is beneficial to our safety, here are some other views:
Timothy B. Lee senior editor at voxdotcom “overestimate the likelihood that we’ll have computers as smart as human beings and exaggerate the danger that such computers would pose to the human race. In reality, the development of intelligent machines is likely to be a slow and gradual process, and computers with superhuman intelligence, if they ever exist, will need us at least as much as we need them.” Even though Kelly is optimistic about the future of AI, he doesn’t dismiss the cautions being raised about how it’s developed. He writes, “As AIs develop, and we might have to engineer ways to prevent consciousness in them”.

As every issue has two sides, can the downfall of humanity be caused by AI? Can AI bring the Apocalypse? As smart as the humans think they are, could it be possible that they are the creator of their own destructor? Let see how others view AI.

Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA is an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author and Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge wrote: “The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race,” the world-renowned physicist told the BBC. “It would take off on its own and re-design itself at an ever increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.” Hawking has been voicing this apocalyptic vision for a while. In a May column in response to Transcendence, the sci-fi movie about the singularity starring Johnny Depp, Hawking criticized researchers for not doing more to protect humans from the risks of AI. “If a superior alien civilization sent us a message saying, ‘We’ll arrive in a few decades,’ would we just reply, ‘OK, call us when you get here—we’ll leave the lights on’? Probably not—but this is more or less what is happening with AI,”

Elon Reeve Musk is a South African-born Canadian-American business magnate, investor, engineer and inventor. Musk was quote “summoning the demon” and called it the human race’s biggest existential threat. He’s also tweeted that AI could be more dangerous than nuclear weapons. Musk called for the establishment of national or international regulations on the development of AI.
Nick Bostrom is a Swedish philosopher at the University of Oxford known for his work on existential risk, the anthropic principle, human enhancement ethics, superintelligence risks, the reversal test, and consequentialism. In his book Superintelligence, Bostrom argues that “once machines surpass human intellect, they could mobilize and decide to eradicate humans extremely quickly using any number of strategies (deploying unseen pathogens, recruiting humans to their side or simple brute force). The world of the future would become ever more technologically advanced and complex, but we wouldn’t be around to see it.” “A society of economic miracles and technological awesomeness, with nobody there to benefit,” he writes. “A Disneyland without children.”

James Barrat is a writer and documentarian who interviewed many AI researchers and philosophers for his new book, “Our Final Invention: Artificial Intelligence and the End of the Human Era.
“Our Final Invention is about what can go wrong with the development and application of advanced AI. It’s about AI’s catastrophic downside, one you’ll never hear about from Google, Apple, IBM, and DARPA. I think it’s the most important conversation of our time, and I hope you’ll join in.”
” Intelligent beings are innately driven toward gathering resources and achieving goals, which would inevitably put a super-smart AI in competition with humans, the greatest resource hogs Earth has ever known. That means even a machine that was just supposed to play chess or fulfill other simple functions might get other ideas if it was smart enough. “Without meticulous, countervailing instructions, a self-aware, self-improving, goal-seeking system will go to lengths we’d deem ridiculous to fulfill its goals,” Should we bet our existence on it?
Vernor Steffen Vinge is a retired San Diego State University Professor of Mathematics, computer scientist, and science fiction author.

Vinge is thought to have coined the term “the singularity” to describe the inflection point when machines outsmart humans. He views the singularity as an inevitability, even if international rules emerge controlling the development of AI. “The competitive advantage—economic, military, even artistic—of every advance in automation is so compelling that passing laws, or having customs, that forbid such things merely assures that someone else will get them first,” he wrote in a 1993 essay. As for what happens when we hit the singularity? “The physical extinction of the human race is one possibility.”
The end of human history had already been written, what is happening in our world today is no surprise to God, and those that read the word of God and understand what God has revealed are not surprised at all. In Revelation 13:15 we can see how the word of God has revealed the present facts:
“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

The end of time is near and as man’s knowledge and abilities are getting greater, their ambitions are reaching the degree where God will put an end to it all; as He did with the people of Babel. In times like this we need to turn back to God, turn the nations of this world back to their makers in hope that we can still receive the promised blessings. Artificial Intelligence means exactly that False, Non-Natural, Man-Made, For the time being, they are not being built to sustain what God in His infinite Wisdom created us to sustain they can only do what they were built to do.

But, God created us with the ability to choose, to smell, to feel joy, pain but mostly He has created us to be free, free to even choose to love or not to love Him, to choose to worship Him or turn our backs on Him. He created us with the utmost intelligence but as the Angel of Light of the Bible was thrown out of the Glory of God, the people of this earth that think that they can reach God’s Greatness will themselves be subjected to the same faith. Here’s a reminder of what happened to the fallen angel proof of the power that God held and still holds on His creations and the consequences that we can be subjected to in case of disobedience.

Ezekiel 28:13-19
“‘You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’”

Isaiah 14:12-15
“How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High. But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit.
Last but surely not the least of what we as human beings were gifted from God and no matter how smart and powerful all the scientists of this world think they are, they will never be able to give to their AI (artificial Intelligence) inventions a SOUL, our soul is priceless, no matter how wasted our bodies become, our souls stay untouched. The only way our souls can be touched is if and only if we give the devil access to it. If we pledge our soul to the fallen angel we will be just like those AI, an object of no consequence. God is at the door of our soul looking in and waiting for us to realize that although this world has a lot to offer no one can offer us the peace that surpasses all understanding and the everlasting life.
